4th of July 2019 Events

Wow! Next week is already the 4th of July!

Do you know where you might be celebrating the holiday? To make it fun and easy, we have compiled a list of the festivities in our area for you!

June 29

Loganville Independence Celebration

5:00-10:00pm, Saturday June 29th

There will be inflatables and other kids’ activities, vendors and a free concert featuring the Journey cover band Departure. Fireworks will follow at dark.

Football fields at West Walton Park; 925 Twin Lakes Rd, Loganville

City of Social Circle

Parade: 10:00am, Saturday, June 29th

Activities: starting at 5:00pm, Saturday, June 29th 

Fireworks: starting at 9:45pm, Saturday, June 29th

There will be activities for kids including water slides, inflatables, balloons, & airbrush face painting. Live entertainment for the adults, held at Stephens Park.

July 2

Rock Eagle

Starting at dark, Monday, July 2nd 

Each year, Rock Eagle hosts hundreds and hundreds of 4-H campers over the seasons. One of their biggest camp sessions happens the week of July 4th, so a special firework show for the campers is always a highlight. Although it is specifically for the campers, passersby are welcome to stop along Hwy 441 or find other good viewing spots to see the show!

July 3

Lawrenceville Prelude to the 4th

4:45-5:45pm, Wednesday, July 3rd

Honor America’s Day of Independence hosted by the city of Lawrenceville, on the Lawrenceville Lawn with Nashville recording artist, Maggie Baugh. The event will feature food truck and fireworks.

Independence Day Concert

Starting at 6:00pm, Wednesday July 3rd
Join as we paint Madison RED, WHITE, AND BLUE for the Cultural Center’s annual Independence Day Concert and Picnic on the front lawn. Summer in Madison would not be complete without this FREE celebration!  The event will feature live patriotic music by Georgia’s longest operating community band, the Athens Classic City Band, BBQ for sale by Pot’s BBQ and ice cream for sale by Antique Sweets! Bring a picnic, blankets, tables, or chairs and join family and friends for the festivities.

The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee

Starting at 7:00pm, Wednesday, July 3rd

Outdoor Independence Day celebration at beautiful Lake Oconee! Hot Licks & Rhetoric: A Steely Dan Tribute concert is open to the resort guests and float lake revelers (people in boats on the lake). Fireworks show immediately following the concert.

July 4

City of Monroe

Starting at dark, Thursday, July 4th

Join us for a July 4th Fireworks spectacular at the Athens Tech Monroe Stadium. There will be no official program or vendors. The fireworks show will begin at dark (approximately 8:45 pm). Parking is available along Edwards Street around the field, the Athens Tech campus parking, and in the lot located across the street at 126 Blaine Street.

Star Spangled Snellville

Starting at 4:00pm, Thursday, July 4th

Get your Fourth of July off to a good start with Snellville’s own Independence Day Celebration on July 4th on the Towne Green. The afternoon starts out with plenty of fun and games and musical entertainment, winding up with the traditional fireworks display after the sun sets. Fireworks show when the sky gets dark, approximately 9:30 pm
